Transfers

The online banking system provides for three types of funds transfers:

  1. Personal Transfer - to transfer funds within your own subaccounts. For example, you would use this to transfer funds from your chequing account to your loan account.
  2. Member Transfer - used to transfer funds to:
    • another member at your branch,
    • a member at a another branch within your caisse,
    • a member at another caisse.
  3. Transfers to other financial institutions - accessed via the Bills tab, this feature allows you to transfer funds to any Canadian Bank account.

Personal Transfer

To transfer funds within your own subaccounts, use the Personal Transfer feature under the Transfer tab. Enter the amount of the transfer and select the From and To accounts. You may choose to initiate an immediate, future-dated or recurring transfer. For future-dated and recurring transfers, you will be prompted for additional information.

Once you have entered the necessary information, click to proceed.

You will be requested to confirm your funds transfer. You will be notified of a successful transfer and the balances shown on the Account Balances screen will be adjusted.

Member Transfer

To transfer funds to other member accounts, use the Member Transfer feature under the Transfer tab. Enter the amount of the transfer and select the From account. Select the transit number of the branch where the money is to be transferred. The default selection is your own branch. Enter the member number of the recipient, then select an account type from the options provided. It is very important to enter the transit and member number accurately. You may choose to initiate an immediate, future-dated or recurring transfer. For future-dated and recurring transfers, you will be prompted for additional information.

Once you have entered the necessary information, click to proceed.

You will be requested to confirm your funds transfer. You will be notified of a successful transfer and the balances shown on the Account Balances screen will be adjusted.

Notes relating to future-dated and recurring transfers:

  1. It is your responsibility to ensure the required funds are available in the From account on the transfer date.
  2. If the Transfer Date coincides with the Expiry Date, the transfer will still be processed before being removed from the system.
  3. When the Transfer Date falls on a weekend or banking holiday, the transfer will still be processed as scheduled.

Transfers to other financial institutions

Use the funds transfer feature under the Bills tab to transfer funds to any Canadian bank account. Start by setting up the transfer on the Add/Remove Billers and Recipients screen. Once setup, the transfer can be paid on the Pay Bills/Transfer Funds screen by entering the last 3 characters of the identifier you used when you added it to your bill payment profile. Transfers made under the Bills area are reported with your other bill payments on the Summary screen when you end your session.

Cancel Funds Transfer

This screen allows you to view all future-dated and recurring funds transfers that are currently active. You may cancel a transfer by clicking the to the right of the transfer item.
